Located in Central Pacific coast of Costa Rica is Manuel Antonio, a paradise for nature and beach lovers. White sand beaches lined by palm trees stand in front of one of the country's most popular national park. 109 species of mammals and 184 of birds make this park their home.
Manuel Antonio is known world wide as one of the top locations for sportfishing. Tours can be arranged for half day, or for a full day; and there is the option of in-shore and off-shore fishing. Offshore fishermen will find Sailfish (all year), Marlin (best in Dec-Nov), Yellow-fin and Black Tuna (Best in May-Nov), plus many other tropical fish. Inshore fishermen will find amongst others, Rooster fish, Spanish Mackerel, Red Snapper, Nail Fish and Ojaran, all of these year-round.
The best beach in the area is actually beach #3 inside the national park. It is the one with the best swimming.
Amongst the many animals that you can find in the park are the famous white-faced monkey and the cute "pizote".
